Welcome to our dance haven, where we groove, learn, and have a blast together! Follow these simple classroom etiquette tips to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone.  *Only students taking the class are permitted in the studio.

Be part of the fun! Share a smile and cheer on your classmates — it can make someone’s day! Shine and encourage others to shine!

Be RESPECTFUL

Choose kindness over criticism and leave the teaching to the teachers! Be respectful to instructors, helpers, and fellow dancers for a comfy learning experience!

Be ON TIME

We make the most of every minute! Arrive early to stretch, connect with your classmates, and be ready to dance your heart out when the clock strikes DANCE!

Put your phones on silent and leave the outside world at the door!

Come to class with curiosity and an open mind to learn something new or different!  Stay focused on your teachers and use your dance experience to learn smarter ;) ​

Dance Studio Rules

1. Change out of outside shoes when entering to keep the floors in great condition.
2. Leave the studio in the same condition as when you arrived.  Remember to take your bottles, towels, changes of clothes etc. 
3. Pets, bikes or other transportation devices are not permitted in the studio.
4. Only students participating in the class are permitted in the studio.  Wait in the side room/waiting and we'll let you know when your class is about to start!
5. Latecomers should enter quietly and observe what has been missed before joining the class or asking questions.  Students who arrive 10 minutes or more later are not permitted in class.
6. Let's all stay fresh - consider bringing an extra clean t-shirt (deodorant, wipes, towel) if you know you work up a sweat.
7. No phone usage during class. 
8. Keep chatter to a minimum while waiting or exiting to ensure all participants can hear and enjoy their class!
9. Chewing gum is not allowed to prevent any choking hazards. Plus it's distracting for others.  Use mints as an alternative ;)
10. Recording is only permitted at the end of class.

class recording etiquette policy

We love that you want to capture your dancing and fun combinations to post or watch later 🥰 — but not every class will have recordings (i.e. drills classes).  Here are some other points to keep in mind:

1. Please no recording during teaching time — let’s keep the focus on learning!
2. No full-class recordings — just short clips of runs/demos at the end when time is given. 
3. Want a video of you dancing? We’ll give you time to record final runs (when available).  Please do this to avoid overloading instructors with requests for videos. 
4. If anyone else is in your video, please get their okay to post!
5. If you share your clips online, please tag us @ifreestyledance ✨

​This policy applies to video and audio recordings or photos.  Videos, audio and photos from class are owned by the studio (per the waiver) and may be shared to showcase our dancers and classes.
