Level: Intermediate Pre-requisite: Intermediate Salsa or Cha Cha On2 is required. Appropriate for students at iFreeStyle’s intermediate and advanced level classes. Instructors: Carolena Charles Location: 693 Bloor Street West, Toronto Dates & Time (8 hours over 2 weeks) Tuesday November 4 & 11 Thursday November 6 & 13 7-9pm **Timelines are compressed so you must attend all classes OR book a private lesson to catch up for any missed work. **Assessment or permission by instructor required. Previous performance experience not required. |
DESCRIPTION
In this 8-hour condensed Étude, we explore the rhythm of Cha Cha Cha through musical footwork, creative movement, and performance energy. Playful, expressive, and full of possibilities—this is Cha Cha reimagined.
✅ Improve your ability to learn and retain footwork through a fun choreography!
✅ Stretch your range of movement in arms, hips and core!
✅ Enhance your coordination, speed, agility, flexibility , fluidity and body coordination!
✅ Build a comfort with Cha Cha Cha and a repertoire of movements phrased therein
✅ Improve your confidence with shines both on an off the stage!
✅ Dance along side like-minded dancers with a goal to improve and have fun!
PERFORMANCE DATES
• Performance dates at local events TBD
*Extra practices closer to performance dates likely required. To be discussed with group.
Notes
• Performing at the end of the program is one of the goals of the program. It is encouraged but not mandatory, dependent on readiness and scheduling.
• Costumes will be an additional cost and discussed with the team.
• Please consider your availability and any commitments to other teams to ensure you can meet the expectations for this class.
• Individual practice time between classes is and expected part of the process to awesomeness :)
