WHAT SHOULD I KNOW ABOUT NEW STUDENT PROMO PASSES?
- Can you use your pass for any style of dance?
YES! Our regular group classes are offered as drop-in, which means you can join any class at any time. The new student pass gives you access to any group class at your level, so go ahead and use it for salsa, bachata, cha cha or workshops! - What if I miss a class?
Because our classes are offered as a drop in with no start or end date, there are no “missed classes”, so you won't lose any credits! Use credits only for the classes you take within the 10 week time frame. - How can I check how many credits I have left?
Attendances are done online so you can check which classes you’ve taken, reserve/cancel reservations for classes, check how many credits you have left and of course when your pass expires. ➡️ Log into your account - When does my pass expire?
Your pass includes 8 class credits, valid for 10 consecutive weeks starting the first day you use it. You’ll also receive an email from our registration system when you have 2 credits left or about to expire. ➡️ Log into your account - What happens after using my 8 classes?
Keep dancing! Purchase a 5 or 10 class pass or monthly membership (if you take 2 or more classes per month, this is a great deal!). And if you purchase your pass before your current one expires, you’re eligible for an early renewal discount, so make sure you get your new pass before your current pass expires or is used up! - I’m coming from a different school, what level should I take?
Email or call/text (416) 669-1385 to schedule a FREE assessment. Every school has their own way of measuring levels, so let’s find the right level for you to maximize your learning and enjoyment.
I TOOK CLASSES AT ANOTHER SCHOOL BUT DON'T KNOW WHAT LEVEL I SHOULD TAKE AT IFREESTYLE. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
- Firstly, we're excited to dance with you! Every school has their own way of identifying "levels". If you have previous experience taking classes at other schools, contact us by email or phone (416) 669-1385 to schedule at FREE Assessment!
- Any description of your dance experience will help (how long, where, style of dance). This will help us place you in the right level so that you and your classmates have the best learning experience!
*Don't forget to ask us about a FREE 1-hour drop in class for you!
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MOVE TO LEVEL 2?
- The answer is different for everyone, and depends on:
- how regularly you attend
- if you practice between classes
- if you go out social dancing
- your previous dance experience
- If you're eager to learn and want to move to the next level, we recommend consistent attendance, practice time at home and take advantage of many social events in our dance community! We host student outings a couple times a month, so be sure to join the outings!
DO I NEED A PARTNER TO JOIN?
No, partners are not required to join a class! Many students come without a partner and meet new people in class! So, you can come on your own, with friends, co-workers... just be ready to have a great time!
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO CLASS?
Clothes: We're going to be dancing, so wear something comfortable and casual! Jeans and a comfy t-shirt, workout clothes do the trick. Just make sure your clothes allow you to move your arms freely.
Shoes: For girls, flats are okay however we recommend a dress shoe with a heel and ankle strap. Your feet should stay firmly and comfortably in your shoes, with a heel height that you can handle in a 1-hour class :) For guy, dress shoes with a slippery sole is best. You should wear something that will allow you to turn easily.
*Outside shoes are not allowed in the studios. Please change out of your wet, dirty, or snowy shoes in the waiting area before entering the studio.
