Caryl Cuizon has been involved in music and dance since her early childhood. Her background includes competitive cheerleading, hip hop and classical piano training; all of which have contributed to her detailed understanding of the mechanics involved in dancing, her flare for expression and interpretation, her visual presence as well as her ability to connect to the music. On the dance floor you'll recognize her as a versatile performer with styling that truly seems to come from within. Whether dancing an elegant number with gentle nuances, an explosive piece with acrobatic highlights or an urban infused funky routine, she seems equally at home in her connection to the music. As an instructor, Caryl finds it gratifying to help students find styling that allows them to “speak in a voice” that is truly their own. Angus Dirnbeck has always loved music and so from his first exposure to dance in the form of folk arts from his native Austria, dance has always been an outlet for the energy he feels when listening to music. With an affinity for art forms requiring a blend of technical ability, creativity and body awareness, Angus has a background outside of dance that includes competitive BMX freestyle and martial arts. He enjoys the challenge of helping students of diverse backgrounds come to a common understanding and finds it helpful to exploit the often very useful connection between aesthetics and functionality.
